Our Vision
We aspire to impress with every order, leaving each customer exceedingly satisfied with their purchase.
At Mike W. Hammer, we work day and night to expedite orders and provide the best service to every customer. Constantly, we are looking for new designs and ideas. We aim to become the number one best provider for handmade, laser-engraved wood products.
Why Our Products Are The Best
-
Quality Materials
High-quality, durable wood sourced locally from Ontario is where all Mike W. Hammer products start. We purchase all of our hardwood from Century Mill in Stouffville, Ontario, process it down, and make all of our products here at home in Georgina.
-
Hard Work
Hours of labour go into each of our products. It takes time to process our wood, cut it into the shapes we need (while reducing as much waste as possible), glue it up (if necessary for that product), router edges, and sand down surfaces. And on our non-foodsafe products, we finish with three coats of polyurethane finish.
-
Meticulous Design
Our design effort is constant. We are always trying to think of new ways to personalize and make our products awesome. Every engraving design is individually (and manually) verified down to a hundredth of a millimeter precision (0.01mm) to ensure quality.
How Our Custom Engraving Service Works

STEP #1
We Send Our Customer An Email
Once an order is received, the assigned designer begins with reaching out by sending an email, confirming the order and asking for any additional information required.

STEP #2
Our Customer Replies
After reading our email, the customer responds with any information requested and suggestions they have.

Step #3
We Make a Draft and Send it to Our Customer
In order to get a taste of what the customer would like, the designer will put together a selection of samples to choose from and send them over for the customer to look at.

STEP #4
Our Customer Responds
After reviewing the array of samples, the customer picks out what they like, responding with feedback, suggestions, and further instructions for their designer.

STEP #5
We Send Our Next Draft to Our Customer
Following discussion with the customer, the designer makes any desired adjustments or even changes directions according to the customer's wishes.

STEP #6
Our Customer Confirms the Design
After reviewing the changes, the customer accepts the design or requests further alterations or new ideas.

Step #7
We Put Together a Final Engraving Design Draft for Approval
Once achieving a great design, the designer puts it all together to put it in perspective for the customer. They can either request more changes or approve the design.

Step #8
Our Customer Approves the Design
After receiving approval for the design, we get started engraving their product right away.

Step #9
We Finish the Product and Ship it Out
Once the product is engraved, we complete the order by finishing the product with six coats of polyurethane, three on each side- unless it's a food-safe product like a tray or cutting board, in which case we apply a coat of walrus oil to seal the wood. Then we ship the product out to a happy customer.
